Waiting for Thanksgiving... TURKEY BOWL FOOTBALL!!!! (and food lasting for at least 3 days if not a week)

Y WEEKEND WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!

THURSDAY: Got there around 1 PM, drove to Provo & got there at about 2, then picked Kristy up to go shopping and waste Dad's money on stuff and then went to the Super 8 to check in. Had an intro session and pizza for dinner, watched a lame video and got at least 6 hours of free time! Went with Justin (cool sports fanatic like me from Seattle) and others to wander around campus. Mostly spent the night exploring the campus and the roundabouts of campus (it was cold!) and got back for the midnight curfew.

FRIDAY: Woke up at 8 to get breakfast and go to some classes and tours (Kimball tower was pretty cool to see the entire city, but it was rainy and wet- dampened the mood) FREE TIME AGAIN!!!! Hung out w/ Justin and fooled around campus. Went to BYU Cougar Tip-Off (fake Midnight Madness) and got FRONT ROW SEATS. This guy just took it to the HOUSE with a MAGNIFICENT SLAM DUNK!!!! Drove me CRAZY!!!! BYU women's soccer game went into 2OT's and resulted in a 1-1 tie (dumb rainy weather) with archrival Utah (who clinched the conference title...BYU got the #2 seed in NCAA tourney). Went bowling and ate some stuff at the Wilkinson Center and played at the arcade (destroying this girl at fake-me-out DDR and air hockey...I really ought to have been nicer) until 12:30 and walked back to the Super 8 and hung out in the lobby/hallways until the worker yelled at us (1:30 AM). Watched a little preseason NBA then just crashed.

SATURDAY: 9 AM wake-up. So nice. Considering that I hardly got good sleep all weekend. But over the past few days Justin's cell phone woke me up (but no one else) at 4:30 AM and 6 AM (thurs-fri mornings). I got over it, though it was very hard. Went to a tailgate party after taking pictures with everyone and all that I LOVE YOU CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU stuff (which is very unlikely to happen), considering 29,000 students attend BYU. Rained on us, kinda made me groggy. The game started, and halfway in the first half it got sunny and everyone went crazy! BYU wins a thriller (after blowing a huge 30 point lead to 14 points by the 4th quarter) 62-41 at home against Air Force Academy's Falcons (with their 2nd string QB). I hung out for an hour then had to go to my uncle's to eat dinner and talk, then off to the hotel in Salt Lake to get some sleep. Flew all day Sunday and got home FINALLY at 6:30 PM. Home sweet home.

BYU is where it's at...

LIFE IS REWARDING : )

Sports Sound OFF:

Reggie Bush is THE HEISMAN WINNER...amazing, dazzling, spectacular athlete. No competition. Vince Young (QB, Texas) can't change the tides of games with his arm or legs. USC #5 flat out CAN (see Oregon, Arizona State, Notre Dame, Washington)

USC is #1, not Texas and those feminine orange colors and lame Hook'Em hand signals that resemble nothing like a cow. Typical Texas ignorance (except Seven Tours Lance & Dubya).

The NBA's dress code is NOT RACIST. If these guys have so much money they ought to dress well anyways. It's professional, not racist. And that CLOTHES STIPEND??? C'mon Marcus Camby you're making freaking (at least) $5 mil a year!
